Project Description
Located off the coast of Queensland, Australia, the Great Barrier Reef is the largest living structure on Earth. The Great Barrier Reef contains over 400 coral species, 1,500 fish species, 4,000 mollusk species and six of the world’s seven sea turtle species. Climate change is causing an increase in sea temperature, which causes bleaching of the coral reef that effects so many other forms of life that we rely on. Essential Barrier highlights the coral being bleached through the thermal ink packaging design to spread awareness that what you put on your body can effect the ocean and its ecosystem such as the coral reef.
